Cuba offers boost to small businesses

Cuba has announced new measures to spur the island's push into private enterprise. Payroll taxes for small business owners are to be suspended, and limits on the size of private restaurants relaxed.

Anyone who employs between one and five workers will not be subject to any payroll taxes during 2011.

Private restaurants and cafs are also to be allowed to serve up to 50 diners at a time, up from the current limit of 20.
