Two women seriously injured after motorbike hit and run in Edinburgh

The motorcyclist fled the scene.

Two women have been seriously injured after a hit and run in Edinburgh.

The women were struck by a motorbike which mounted the pavement in Hay Avenue yesterday.

The motorbike was described as a red and white off-road Honda 250.

After the incident the driver fled from the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses, and ask anyone with information to call 101 and quote 1724 of 22 March.
