Two men charged in connection with death of prisoner at HMP Glenochil

Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a prisoner at HMP Glenochil in Clackmannanshire.

The 30-year-old man was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert following the incident on Saturday.

He died on Monday.

A police investigation was launched to establish how the man sustained the injuries.

Police said two men, aged 50 and 31, have now been arrested and charged in connection with the death.

They are due to appear at Alloa Sheriff Court on Friday.
