Thieves raid charity box

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a charity box was raided in the Capital.

Staff at Dofos Pet Centre in Blenheim Place found the dog-shaped collection box destroyed and a three-figure sum of cash missing.

The incident took place between 6am and 6.20am on Saturday.

A police spokesman said: “The donations within the collection box were intended for the Guide Dogs for the Blind charity. However, because of this despicable act, the organisation may now miss out on these much-needed funds.”
