Police search for ‘vulnerable’ pensioner

TAYSIDE Police yesterday stepped up their search for a “very vulnerable” elderly woman who has been missing from her home in Perthshire since Tuesday.

Elizabeth Stevenson, 77, of Aldour Gardens, Pitlochry, was last seen at about 2pm on Tuesday afternoon heading northwards on the town’s Atholl Road, near to Dysart Brae.

A member of her family contacted police on Tuesday night. A spokesman for Tayside Police said that force was becoming “increasingly concerned” for Ms Stevenson’s welfare.

He added: “She is very vulnerable and may be confused.”

The missing pensioner is 5ft 4in tall, of slim build with ginger hair.

When last seen, she was wearing a lightweight beige-coloured jacket, grey trousers and black boots.
