A blue/grey car remained parked in the driveway of the White-painted two-storey home as forensics officers searched inside.
Detectives say they are following a definite line of inquiry.
Neighbours have spoken of their shock at the tragic discovery and said they had no idea anything had happened until they got up this morning.
One said: “The cordon was there this morning when I took the kids to school.
“Their son is in my daughter’s class at school.
“They’re very normal. I saw them on a daily basis going to school doing things families do. She was very nice and friendly.”
Other neighbours paid tribute to Xinxin, describing her as “happy” and “smiley” but said they knew very little about the couple.
Another neighbour said: “She was a very nice person. We’re in total shock.

A man, who also lived nearby, said: “She is a lovely girl. I would see her walking up to the school.
“Her wee boy would usually talk to our wee boy but I didn’t really know them.
“She was always a happy, smiley lass. They are a perfectly respectable wee family.
“This is like stuff you read about in other parts of Glasgow. A police helicopter around here is a big deal.
“It’s nice and quiet here - that’s why people like it.”
One neighbour described Xinxin as “really polite and nice” and said he often saw her playing outside with her sons.
Another neighbour said they had seen the police and ambulance crews as they drove him in the early hours of the morning.
He added: “I drove back at 1am and there were loads of police cars and ambulances. I’ve lived here 23 years and nothing like that has ever happened before.”
