Police find heroin and cannabis in a raid on a house in Galashiels

Officers found the drugs but no one was arrested at the scene.

Police in Galashiels have found heroin and cannabis in a house in Gala Park, Galashiels.

Officers raided the property at 11am this morning under a Misuse of Drugs Act (MDA) warrant.

Police Scotland said no one was arrested in the raid, but said that their investigation was not over.

Sergeant Rourke, of the Community Action Team said “During these operations you may see officers dressed in white suits, with face masks and other protective equipment”

“This is nothing to be concerned about and is to afford our staff protection in relation to the current #COVID19 pandemic”
