A man was knocked out and robbed while driving in Glasgow on Thursday.

The 36-year-old believes he was attacked by a group of people.

His phone and a small amount of cash were stolen, and he was injured in the face.

The man, who was driving a Vauxhall Astra Convertible, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth hospital to be checked over.

The incident happened around 4pm on Thursday.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or who might have seen anything in the area at the time to come forward.

Constable Mhairi Gunn from the Community Investigation Unit of Glasgow Police Division said: “The man believes he was attacked by a group and we are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything in the area at the time, who has not already spoken to us to come forward.

“Enquiries in and around the area are ongoing. The area contains a number of houses and we are asking anyone who may be able to assist to get in touch.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 2588 of 4 June.
