Man charged over stab death

A MAN has appeared in court in connection with the death of a man who was stabbed in the chest.

Gerrard Dobbin was rushed to hospital after police were called to a party in Old Rutherglen Road, Glasgow, at 4:50am on 18 February.

Officers found the 25-year-old, from Castlemilk, outside the property with a stab wound to his chest. He later died at the city’s Victoria Infirmary.

The accused, named as Raymond Sinclair or Wodehouse, of Cambuslang, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday charged with the murder of Mr Dobbin.

The 26-year-old made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
