Man arrested over bid to import gun and ammunition in Fife

A man has been arrested in Fife in after an intelligence-led investigation into an attempt to bring a gun into the country, police say.

Officers today arrested and charged a 25-year-old man in connection with the importation of a firearm and ammunition.

This operation is part of the Organised Crime Partnership, with law enforcement agencies working together and sharing information to combat serious crime.

The man is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Friday, 19 February, 2021.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
