Inmate who has not returned to prison after home leave has connections to West Lothian

The public have been warned not to approach Andrew Weir.

Police have warned members of the public not to approach an inmate who has not returned to prison following home leave.

Andrew Weir, 32, is an inmate at HMP Castle Huntly, Longforgan, and has breached the conditions of his home leave.

He has connections to the Bathgate and wider West Lothian area.

He is described as being 5ft 7in, medium build with short dark hair.

When he was last seen he was wearing a grey tracksuit top and bottoms and grey trainers.

He was also carrying a black holdall.

Police Scotland said that is he is seen, he should not be approached.

A spokesperson said: “If seen, members of the public should not approach him but contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0933 of Friday, 6 March, 2020, or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
