Greenock police hunt van driver after hit-and-run leaves woman in hospital
Officers said the 29-year-old woman was talking to the male driver of a grey van parked on Gateside Avenue, opposite the Lady Alice primary school, at around 8:50am on Wednesday, December 9.
The van struck the woman as it drove off in the direction of Inverkip Street.

Hide AdPolice said the woman attended Inverclyde Royal Hospital to be assessed and was later released.
Officers did not disclose the size or model of the grey van in question.
Commenting on the incident, Constable Liam McGowan of Greenock Police Station said: “We are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding this incident and checking local CCTV footage for more information.
“I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident take place to contact officers through 101 quoting ref no 1107 of 9 December.”
