Grahams Road incident: Man arrested after 73-year-old is found dead inside property

A 49-year-old has been arrested in connection with the death of a pensioner in Falkirk.

According to earlier reports, at least eight police vehicles and three ambulances – including an incident response unit – attended the scene.

On arrival, a 73-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and a 49-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death shortly afterwards.

Detective Inspector Robert Andrews, from Falkirk CID, said in a statement: “Officers were called around 10.45am on Tuesday, 23 February, 2021, to a report of concern for a person in Grahams Road, Falkirk.

“Emergency services attended the scene and a 73-year-old man was pronounced dead within the property.

“A 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death.

"Enquiries now are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened.”
