Five people rescued from Cramond Island after tide cuts them off
An emergency rescue team were called to Cramond Island to help five people who had become cut off from the mainland after the tide had come in.
South Queensferry Coastguard and lifeboat teams were called into action at around 2pm today (Sunday) when the unlucky five became stranded.
All five were brought safely back and the operating was completed at around 3.30pm.

The island is only accessible on foot at low tide.
