Family of missing man told of body being found in Highlands

THE family of a missing 77-year-old man have been informed of the discovery of a body in the Highlands.

Police Scotland has confirmed that a man’s body has been found at Camas-luinie near Dornie, Lochalsh.

A spokesman said: “The family of Roger Fletcher, who has been missing in the area since 5 June, has been informed.

“Formal identification will now take place and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

“The family request privacy from the media at this difficult time.”

Police officers, police and SARDA dogs, Kintail and RAF Mountain Rescue Teams took part in a major search areas around Dornie when Mr Fletcher was reported missing.

Mr Fletcher was last seen around 8.30am on Sunday 5 June, setting off from his holiday home in Bundalloch.
