Family of missing man Scott Lowrie informed after discovery of man's body in woods
Police say the family of a missing North Lanarkshire man have been informed after the discovery of a man’s body today.
Officers have confirmed that the body of a man was found in a wooded area near Abronhill around 2.55pm today.
The family of local man Scott Lowrie, missing since Saturday, 28 November, have been made aware.
Formal identification is yet to take place and a post mortem examination will be carried out to establish the exact cause of death.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
