Elmbank Street: CCTV appeal after woman assaulted in Glasgow

CCTV images have been release to help trace a man police believe could help with their enquiries into the assault of a woman in Glasgow.

The incident took place on Elmbank Street around 11pm on Thursday, July 9.

The man pictured was in the area at the time and may have information helpful to police enquiries.

He is described as black, slim build, 5ft 8ins, aged late 20s to early 30s, with short black hair.

He spoke with a foreign accent and was wearing a black hoodie, trousers and shoes.

Detective Constable Mark Souter said: “Fortunately the woman was not injured but she was left extremely upset as a result of the incident.

“Officers would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the assault. In particular, they are keen to trace the man pictured in the CCTV image.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 4080 of Thursday, 9 July, 2020.”
