Bill Drummond secures seventh term at Brodies helm

Partners at law firm Brodies have unanimously re-elected Bill Drummond as managing partner for a seventh three-year term.

Drummond, who has been with the firm for 35 years, was first elected to the role in 1998. Under his tenure, profits at Brodies – which has offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Brussels – have risen from £2.5 million to £27.1m.

Drummond was chairman of the Scottish Council for Development & Industry (SCDI) until February last year, when he was succeeded by BT Scotland director Brendan Dick.
