Benefit fraud plea heard

A WOMAN who admitted an £18,000 benefit fraud by letter has been ordered to appear in court for sentencing.

Sandra McArthur, 52, from Livingston, West Lothian, told JobCentre and council officials she was unemployed, but she had actually been working for Broom Cleaning Services for four and a half years.

Livingston Sheriff Court heard her guilty plea yesterday. Sentence was deferred.
