Alexis Gibb: concerns growing for missing Edinburgh woman

The 26-year-old was last seen in the Capital.

A family is growing increasingly worried for the welfare of a 26-year-old woman from Edinburgh who has gone missing.

Alexis Gibb was reported missing on September 3 after relatives said no one had heard from her for about six to eight weeks.

Friends and family have set up a Facebook page in the hope of encouraging a nation-wide search for the missing woman, who also has connection to London, where she has been living for the last seven months, Birmingham and Somerset.

In a post on the page it explained Alexis’s lack of contact for more than a month “is out of character” and concerns are growing for her welfare.

The young woman has been described as white and is about 5ft 2in tall.

She is slim, has blue/green eyes and curly, mousey brown her, although she sometimes dyes her hair red, black or brown and sometimes has braids in it.

Distinguishing features include a tattoo on her right outer wrist of an infinity symbol with some wording next to it and a small scar on her upper lip from an old piercing.

She may also be known as Lexi.

A police spokeswoman said: “Alexis Gibb, 26, from Edinburgh was reported missing to us on 3 September, 2020.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 0477 of 3 September."
