Crash victim rushed to ERI

A MAN was in serious condition today after being cut from his vehicle and rushed to hospital by a trauma team following a crash yesterday.

The 64-year-old was unconscious and having difficulty breathing when ambulance crews reached him on the A199 near Haddington, East Lothian.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the accident at around 5.40pm yesterday. A specialist trauma team from Edinburgh Royal Infirmary rushed to treat the casualty, as firefighters used two sets of cutting equipment to free him.
