Council seeks input on Rosefield revamp

THE city council is proposing a new multi-use games area for Rosefield Park as part of plans to revitalise the space.

A total of £30,000 will be spent on improving the park as part of the Parks Improvement programme.

The local authority is consulting on the proposals, which include creating an enclosed multi-use games area that would cater for basketball and five-a-side football. East neighbourhood manager, Jim Hunter, said: “We’re inviting everyone in the local community to have their say on our plans to revitalise Rosefield Park.

“These include proposals for an enclosed multi-use games area similar to the one recently installed at Piershill Square West.

“Our consultation is open until January 2012. After we’ve reviewed the feedback, we aim to start work during early 2012.”
