Council hosts Danish tour

A DELEGRATION of politicians and officials from Denmark have visited East Lothian to learn about the county’s strategy for looking after older people.

The visitors from Randers toured the council’s call centre and heard how the personal alarm system for older people operates.

They were also invited to Telecare House to be shown devices and sensors that help people remain in their own home. These include fire and heat sensitive alarms, and equipment that detects falls or a lack of movement.
