Council given CCTV petition

Lothian Labour MSP Sarah Boyack today submitted a 250-name petition to the city council calling for CCTV to be installed in the Telfer Subway, which links Dalry and 
Fountainbridge.

The campaign was initially launched in November 2011 following a spate of attempted robberies at knifepoint.

She said: “The Telfer Subway has gained a notorious reputation for crime and antisocial disorder which has been further underlined by recent incidents.”
