Council gets new leader

PAUL McLennan has been elected the new leader of East Lothian Council to replace David Berry.

His previous role as cabinet member for community wellbeing has been taken by Ruth Currie.

Meanwhile, Roger Knox has relinquished his non-executive directorship of Lothian Health Board and his portfolio as public health spokesman, having accepted a new role on the EU's Committee of the Regions.
