‘Cool’ bid to beat littering

AN initiative that attempts to make young people see recycling and litter collection as “cool” is being launched across West Lothian.

New “Recycling on the Go” bins funded by Zero Waste Scotland will be placed around all secondary schools in efforts to cut school-related litter.

Environment wardens will give presentations to students as part of the campaign. Warning letters will also be sent to the parents of any young person caught littering.
