Comic stands up to Israeli forces in movie

A STAND-UP comedian's confrontation with the Israeli army is the subject of a special Christmas screening at The Filmhouse next month.

Jeremy Hardy Vs The Israeli Army, in which the Radio 4 comedian experiences the heavy handedness of the Israeli military in the West Bank city of Bethlehem, is being screened on December 5 to highlight the plight of Palestinians in the birthplace of Christ.

It will be followed by a discussion on the topic with invited speakers connected tio the area.
