Colleges share merger plans

EDINBURGH and the Lothians are to play host to two public consultation events for the proposed merger of Scotland’s four leading colleges for the land-based industries.

The events, which are open to members of the public, will be held at the Scottish Agricultural College’s (SAC) Edinburgh campus on April 18, from 7pm to 8pm, and Oatridge College in West Lothian on April 19, between 6pm and 7pm.

Barony College, Elmwood College, Oatridge College and the SAC launched their public consultation last month, which will run until May 7. Over the coming weeks, open events will be held at each of the colleges’ campuses, inviting questions and providing more information on the proposals.
