Collector set to clean up with shower

IN today’s money, kitting out your new bathroom with a Victorian needle shower would set you back at least £50,000.

So at around £3000, this one could have collectors queuing up to splash the cash when it goes up for auction at Lyon & Turnbull, in Broughton Place, tomorrow.

Auctioneer Theo Burrell was trying out the rare and elaborate shower which sprays multiple jets of water at several parts of the body at once.

She said: “Shower sprays were believed to stimulate the action of the skin.”
