Cochrane’s department store on Baxters Place

Wyn Campbell, of Hopetoun Street, is hoping someone can shed some light on the history of a department store. “I remember a department store at Baxters Place called Cochranes, right up to the 1960s or 70s. There are no traces of it, yet the tall building there just now - empty offices - looks as if it has stood there for a century or more. When did it replace Cochranes?” Does anyone know the answer?
