"Racz and Dumitru had formed a plan to obtain money by attaching a false fascia to the ATM machine and using these cards to obtain money."

Police searched their home where they found fascias, software, phones, memory cards, phone top-up cards and gift cards for making counterfeits .

Racz and Dumitru, both of Edinburgh Prison, admitted forming a fraudulent scheme and obtaining 1,140 by fraud at Tesco, Meadow Place Road, on 1 March.

They also admitted having equipment to obtain money through ATMs at Broughton Road also on 1 March.

Sheriff James Scott deferred sentence for reports until next month and both men were remanded in custody.
