City’s lotto cash boost

HUNDREDS of thousands of pounds have been secured to boost employment prospects in some of Edinburgh’s poorest areas.

The Big Lottery has provided more than £320,000 to be invested in deprived zones across north Edinburgh, such as Muirhouse and Pilton.

The Tomorrow’s People initiative is aimed at boosting skills in young people, making them more prepared for the world of work.
