City tackles abuse policy

A CITY council campaign to tackle domestic abuse has been launched within its offices.

The council has launched a six-month drive to promote its domestic abuse policy, which will feature a series of posters within its offices and depots.

The policy was drawn up following a series of motions by Councillor Angela Blacklock, the equalities spokeswoman for the Labour group on the council.

She said: "The council is providing training to its employees to support this initiative."
