City jail top for seizures

MORE banned items are seized from inmates at Edinburgh's Saughton jail than in any other Scottish prison.

A total of 843 items were confiscated between August 2009 and August this year - around one third of the seizures made across the country.

Nationally the 2500 items confiscated included weapons, syringes, mobile phones and alcohol.
