City hotel has golden touch

A HOTEL in the Capital has been awarded a "gold star" by the national tourism organisation.

Prestonfield House Hotel has been awarded gold star status as part of VisitScotland's quality assurance scheme.

The award was introduced last year to highlight establishments that strive to exceed customer expectations and take an innovative and proactive approach to customer care.
