City Bypass lane 1 reopens following accident at Straiton

The City Bypass was partially blocked with one lane closed following a road traffic accident at Straiton.

The incident took place just before 2:40 heading eastbound at the Straiton off slip.

The off slip was partially blocked due to the incident prompting TRISS and emergency services to rush towards the scene.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash with police being called at 14:45.

It is believed a car crashed into a van that had already broken down.

Lane 1 on the bypass was temporarily closed but has now reopened.
