City brides to say 'I do' to a bargain dress

BRIDES-TO-BE can snap up a bargain after a city charity shop received another donation of six brand new designer wedding dresses.

Save the Children's South Bridge shop had already been given 15 of the dresses by a boutique owner, who is retiring, and they sold out within days.

The new dresses, also from Claire's Boutique in Aberdeen, all have designer labels and sell for up to 1000 each. They are on sale at 150 to 250 each.

Instead of holding a closing down sale, the owner decided to donate her stock to charity.

Rob Macmillan, Save the Children's retail manager for Scotland, said: "Again, we're overwhelmed at the generosity of this donation."
