Christmas events Advent calendar - Day 20: Menorah lighting

Every day until Christmas we’re opening another window on our calendar of festive events in Scotland...

The Jewish festival of Chanukah (Hanukkah) takes place this year from 20-28 December.

Head to St Andrew’s Square Garden tonight to see the lighting of the first candle on Scotland’s largest menorah, with speakers Roseanna Cunningham MSP, Dana Linnet from the US Consulate, former Lord Provost Eric Milligan and Rabbi Wineman, and then retreat to Harvey Nichols for a reception with festive drinks and traditional latkes and donuts.
