Christmas Eve house fire victim named by police
Police have named a man who died in a house fire on Christmas Eve.
Emergency services were called to the blaze in Nellfield Place, Aberdeen at about 8pm.
Firefighters found a man in the flat who was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where he later died.
Police Scotland has now named the victim as 42-year-old Mark Herns.
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
