Chris’s art in the shop window

ARTIST Chris Rutterford spent the weekend putting the final touches to a giant Christmas card being displayed in the window of the Capital’s branch of department store John Lewis.

He persuaded bosses at the St James Centre store to let him paint the 22ft work of art, with the process being filmed to feature in a rolling production to be shown alongside it later this week.

Chris began work on his masterpiece on Friday morning and added the final brush strokes yesterday.

Intrigued passers-by knocked on the window as they watched him work.
