Children walk their socks off for charity

SCHOOLchildren have put their best feet forward for a charity which helps youngsters less fortunate than themselves.

Staff and pupils at Dedridge Primary School, Livingston, handed over a cheque for £1149 to the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.

The money was raised from a sponsored “Walk Your Socks Off” event, held as part of West Lothian Walking Week late last year.

The walk, which included all pupils, staff and many parents, was followed by a family picnic to mark the beginning of British Food Fortnight.

The school would like to thank Paterson Arran, Livingston; Highlander Snacks, Bathgate; and Sainsbury’s, Livingston, for providing food for the event.
