Children offer smokers help

A GROUP of youngsters focused on reducing smoking in the Lothians has won a national award.

The Bridges Project in Musselburgh was handed the Crofton Award to recognise its work in campaigning against tobacco and reducing smoking-related illnesses.

Judges praised the "dedication" of the group's Journey of Cigarettes project, which included the children looking at all aspects of tobacco from farming to advertising.
