A DEDICATED child protection unit for Moray was officially opened in Elgin yesterday by the council’s convener, Councillor George McIntyre.

The new £1.35 million building, jointly funded by the council and Grampian Police, will allow social work, police and NHS staff to be based together, replacing a temporary unit which ahs been at Elgin police station since 2008.
