Charity night honours Layla

A CHARITY night is to be held in aid of a baby girl who lost her life to a rare genetic condition.

Alan and Wendy Stubbs, from Liberton, are hosting the event in aid of new children’s charity Layla’s Trust, set up in memory of Layla Mae Cotter, who died when she was just 70 days old in February 2011.

She suffered from Gaucher Disease Type 2 and her parents, Colman and Emma Cotter, decided to help families with disabled or terminally-ill children.

The event will feature an auction and raffle followed by a buffet and DJ and is on Friday, June 22 at Edinburgh City Football Club, Baxters Place, at 7.30pm.
