Charity intern off to Africa

A YOUNG Craigleith woman will see first-hand the effects of climate change and hunger on the poorest people in
Zimbabwe.

Catherine Falconer, 23, left for the country on Monday, where she will learn how charity Christian Aid is working to try to end poverty.

The recent graduate has begun a year-long internship with Christian Aid Scotland. The trip to Zimbabwe will involve visiting the work of three of Christian Aid’s partner organisations.
