Charge over train assault

A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged assault on a blind man on a train, police said.

The 28-year-old was travelling from Aberdeen to Edinburgh on April 4 when another passenger allegedly punched the man, who is registered blind and was on the phone at the time.

British Transport Police said a 48-year-old man from Edinburgh had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
