Chance for swim stars of future

BUDDING Michael Phelps and Rebecca Adlingtons are expected make a splash at an open-day session at Portobello Amateur Swimming Club today.

As well as watching all the club’s squads in action, youngsters can practise some lengths in the pool while parents can learn more about the club.

The club, founded in 1912, is open to those aged eight and over who can already swim and offers a non-competitive group for those who just want to keep fit as well its various competitive squads.
