Chance to fulfil passion to act

CALLING all budding actors. Edinburgh's Easter Passion Play is looking for amateur actors for this year's performance in West Princes Street Gardens.

Organisers are planning an updated version of the Gospel story for 2010 which will be the sixth year the play has run.

"The 2010 Easter Passion Play in Princes Street Gardens will be a modern presentation with three of the main characters taking on modern guise", say organisers.

The play will portray the money lender as a "21st century city loan shark".

Organisers are keen to recruit Edinburgh residents of all ages to take part and no previous acting experience is required.

Rehearsals are scheduled for Wednesdays from 7-9pm at St John's Episcopal Church in Lothian Road.
