Paul Gascoigne has reportedly been rushed to hospital after being spotted “drunk and sick” before collapsing outside a hotel in London.
Onlookers said he was in such a bad state that they mistook him for a disabled pensioner as he crumpled over a bollard outside the Royal National Hotel in Euston. The hotel says he was not a guest there.
The former Rangers player has had an ongoing battle with the bottle and numerous trips through rehab.
He was arrested earlier this week after an alleged drunken assault at a railway station.
The 46-year-old ex-Newcastle and Tottenham star, who left rehab in the United States earlier this year, was held after an incident in Hertfordshire.
