Celebratory
cuppa for Teapot Trust

Minister for public health Michael Matheson was enjoying a cuppa with six-year-old Abbey Reid after visiting the Teapot Trust to celebrate its first birthday.

The city charity provides art therapy to children with chronic illness at the Sick Kids hospital.

It has raised £85,000 in its first year, enabling the funding of the therapists and drop-in art sessions for the children.

Mr Matheson said: “Coming into hospital can be difficult at any time, particularly for young children, and art therapy which helps to put them at ease is of great benefit to children.”
